this blog is for everyone who's interested in where the hell i'm doing what with whom and why and for first time backpackers who would like some advice from someone who's been there or has talked to people who've been there.
i was born in the us, raised in holland by my spanish mom and decided to stay with my surinam dad who is currently working and living in singapore with his lovely philippina wife. i quit my (not so dead end) job, packed some stuff and went to singapore to stay for three months after i had a massive breakdown and thought ok, i need to get out of here! this is more than a year and a half ago and i still haven't been back home...
in the meantime i've traveled around a bit and went on a working holiday in new zealand. in 'story so far' you can read about what i've been up to since singapore and what i'm going to do next. check out some basic backpacking stuff in 'traveling lightly' and don't forget my photogallery :)
